about meMy experiences in recording range from working in high-end commercial recording studios to remote recording setups. I am comfortable working with large-format consoles and outboard gear and am well versed in various post-production tools and processes including editing, mixing, and mastering. I’ve been producing and engineering for artists and bands on a freelance basis for over eight years, working primarily on indie records and helping emerging artists develop their sound by providing space for active experimentation and creative decision making. Many of these projects have also required that I take on more of a project manager role, including booking sessions, compiling stems from other producers and engineers, and making sure the project meets deadlines and keeping everyone on the artist’s team on the same page.In sessions I am very comfortable working with artists, composers, and other engineers and always see my role as keeping the session running smoothly, whether that means working transparently around the client or taking a leading role in the session. Quick problem-solving and improvisation have been two requisite skills I’ve gained as an engineer; from navigating curveballs in technical issues to changes in creative direction, I have learned to stay on my feet and keep the session flowing properly. In addition to working on artist projects, I’ve also had years of experience writing, producing, and recording for sync opportunities and music libraries with many placements on network TV. This has included working both solo and with writing teams to make custom music to briefs and delivering it all within tight deadlines and with any alternative mixes as required by the music supervisors and publishers. My work in sync has spanned various genres, from jazz and folk songs written for featured placements to trap and hip hop music for music libraries.Since September 2024, I’ve also worked as an Audio Engineer with Medium Sized Backyard, handling recording and monitor engineering for live sessions with both indie and major label artists on a high-pressure film set. I oversee audio system integration and coordinate with directors, crew, artist teams, labels, and fellow engineers to ensure seamless delivery. Past sessions include Natasha Bedingfield, All-American Rejects, Audrey Nuna, Chezile, Partyof2, Hope Tala, JMSN, and others. This role has further honed my adaptability in fast-paced environments and strengthened my leadership in both technical execution and creative collaboration. Before moving to Los Angeles I worked as a Staff Engineer at Plaid Dog Recording in Boston, MA producing, tracking, mixing, and mastering projects for their artists. This included working with artists from the conception of their records through to final master on the creative side as well as managing project budgets relating to hiring session musicians, studio costs, and additional production expenses. At Northeastern University, I supervised and maintained all of the recording facilities for two and a half years and built two new mixing rooms on campus, all while ensuring that these facilities met the needs of students and the recording faculty. During my time at NEU, I also worked for a period as Assistant Engineer at Atlantic Sound Studio in Brooklyn, working particularly closely with projects from GroundUP Music.
